[LONDON, MAY 2024] – Artist Slawn and DSM client Thomas Lyte, the FA’s official silverware provider, worked together to redesign the FA Cup trophy ahead of the 2024 final between Manchester United and Manchester City. In this never-done-before endeavour Slawn put his own spin on the prestigious trophy with the help of Thomas Lyte who executed his designs.
The redesigned trophy was on display at an exclusive 'Cup Culture' event in an opportunity to bring together art, music and fashion alongside the likes of YouTubers Sidemen, music artist AJ Tracey and footwear retailer Kick Game. The event, hosted at the Oval Studios in East London, also featured brands such as Wingstop who provided free food throughout the night, hosted a EAFC 24 tournament and offered an immersive VR experience.
Slawn said: ‘My automatic reaction was, that I’m going to wake up one day I’m going to be back in primary school, because this must be a dream!’.
